“There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.”
1 John 4:18 ESV
Recently, we have received a lot of news about hatred and attacks on the AAPI community. Many brothers and sisters are worried about this. The pastoral staff hear and share the same concerns, and they have especially discussed and prayed for this. We are discussing how to help the members face this problem and know how to ensure their own safety. At the same time, we also ask God, as God’s children, how to witness the gospel of the Lord Jesus in this difficult time, and ask the Lord to teach and guide!
We’ve set up this page on the church website to provide some relevant information and important resources. There is also a similar site in Chinese if needed. We have also contacted a brother who works in the New York Police Department and another who is in charge of human rights and welfare matters in the Chinese community to help the church, especially the elderly, explaining how to face this problem.
The pastoral staff and leaders will continue to discuss and seek the Father’s will, and how to witness Him in these turbulent times! If you know of any brothers and sisters that need help, please contact the pastoral staff.
