ADVENT

Advent comes from the Latin term meaning “coming”.  It is a joyous season that commemorates the coming of our Lord Jesus!  While commercialization has popularized Christmas, Advent is also meant as a time of preparation similar to Lent where a focus on prayer, meditation, and study of the Word warns our hearts to the true reason for the season.
